Taking out the trash at Sydney Markets

Where our food comes from is a big issue these days. If you live in Sydney there’s one thing you can be sure of: unless you picked it in your back garden, the food on your plate came through Sydney Markets. Covering a vast plot in Flemington, the market is a hive of activity from the early hours – and virtually deserted by lunch.

AMP Tomorrow Fund 2015

Following the excellent Adam Spencer-hosted awards night for the AMP Tomorrow Makers 2015, I’m starting to wrap up my production of a dozen or so videos, each showcasing a very deserving winner.
It’s been really fun. I’ve met an astronomer, a wrestler, a couple of aspiring Olympians, a number of life-changing app makers, a woman taking on the ice epidemic in her home town, a nine year-old mitochondrial researcher, a sculptor, environmental scientists and more . I’ve been to Melbourne, rural Gippsland, Brisbane, Bathurst and all over Sydney.

Macquarie Group Foundation – Innovation big and small

I’m very proud to have my images featured in a new Macquarie Group Foundation publication. Innovation big and small – How great ideas are strengthening our community is based on interviews with a dozen mostly Australian social innovators, many of them CEOs of non-governmental organisations that receive support from the foundation. My job was to take portrait shots of (most of) them.
