Family Advocacy is an independent advocacy organisation that supports families in New South Wales to promote the interests of people with developmental disability.
I was delighted to be asked to produce a second video for the organisation (after Jac’s Place for its initiative Resourcing Inclusive Communities) telling Josh’s story.
Josh attended his local school in the regular class and completed his work experience with two businesses while at school. He is now volunteering at both businesses as well as running his own mail pick up service.
Josh’s story highlights how beneficial an inclusive education can be for people with developmental disabilities and how important it is for families to have a strong vision for the future.
