CSIRO Indigenous STEM awards 2018 {video}

CSIRO’s Indigenous STEM awards celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, scientists and teachers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics field.

I was delighted to be asked to produce a video showcasing two of the 2018 winners.

Taylah Griffin is a proud Gangulu woman from Gordonvale in Far North Queensland who is completing Bachelor of Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology and works as systems engineer at Boeing Defence Australia.

Rhett Loban is a Brisbane-born Torres Strait Islander man and an Associate Lecturer at Macquarie University. He’s developing a Torres Strait Virtual Reality, a virtual reality game to highlight the unique culture, traditions and history of Torres Strait Islander people.

Working with CSIRO is always a pleasure and this was no exception, especially as it meant spending time with such interesting and inspiring people.
